Babak Mahmoudi

Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology

Dr Mahmoudi is an assistant professor of biomedical informatics and biomedical engineering at Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology. After completing his PhD at the University of Florida, he received a NIH NRSA award for translational research in neurology. His research is focused on developing machine learning algorithms and neural computing models to design intelligent neural interface systems. He has made significant contributions to design and development of co-adaptive neural decoding systems for Brain-Machine Interfaces and adaptive closed-loop neuromodulation systems to restore normal function in neurological disorders. He has more than 50 peer reviewed publications in the area of neural engineering and machine learning.
